On Christmas Eve 25 years ago, CJC was officially incorporated, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey. From our founder-funded beginnings to today, our growth stands as a testament to the dedication of our global teams. In this final instalment of our 4-part series, we focus on the future and the strategic initiatives that will likely shape CJC’s continued success.

Technical Operations and Engineering

Technical Managed Service for Market Data IT InfrastructureTechnical innovation has always been at the heart of CJC. Staying ahead of technological changes remains a 24×7 effort, especially in recent years as technological advancement rivals the speed of market data transmitted over dark fibre or microwave links. Emerging technologies like CPUs, GPUs, Cloud Computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and the metaverse are reshaping the landscape.

In the past, the market data industry often looked inward for solutions, however, it now involves active monitoring and integrating offerings from global tech leaders like Microsoft, Google, NVIDIA, Meta, and Apple. This industry shift reinforces CJC’s commitment to harnessing the latest innovations for our client’s benefit.

CJC has leveraged Amazon Web Services (AWS) since 2011 and managed Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure since 2018. The cloud offers unparalleled integration capabilities, allowing us to combine tools like Prometheus and Datadog with in-house solutions such as Mosaic (built on InfluxDB) and ITRS. These are integrated seamlessly with our FreshService ITSM platform and modern solutions like Big Panda. Through Microsoft Power Automate, we are enhancing automation, reducing ticket volumes, and streamlining workloads across our organisation.

In our ongoing drive to improve internal efficiencies and product development, we are significantly investing in AI tools such as Microsoft’s CoPilot and ChatGPT. These technologies help us improve internal workflows, while also supporting the evolution of our product roadmaps, particularly in developing next-generation visualisations and dashboards for our Mosaic platform.

Commercial Management

While many of CJC’s innovations are outward-looking advancements, the Digital Rights for Data Management (DRDM) platform is one example of an industry-need-led advancement. DRDM is a smart contract platform, powered by a purpose-built blockchain technology for market data, revolutionising how contracts are managed.

Our Commercial Management team is working closely with clients to unlock the platform’s significant benefits, including:

  • Enhancing compliance
  • Achieving substantial cost reductions
  • Realising significant time savings

By streamlining manual contact management processes – from data storage to contract delivery – clients are gaining productivity enhancements that translate to hundreds of days saved a year.

Service Management, Service Delivery

The enforcement of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), effective January 2025, is raising the expectations for critical third-party providers like CJC. In response, our Service Management and Delivery teams are proactively enhancing service protocols, boosting cybersecurity defences, strengthening partnerships, and refining insurance frameworks. By staying ahead of regulatory and operational demands, we ensure that our clients can confidently rely on CJC for their most critical business operations.

Legal and HR

The Legal and HR teams have had a fantastic year, particularly with CJC’s Academy initiative, which was designed to ensure that the next generation of talent is equipped to excel in an increasingly complex and dynamic market. Beyond the Academy, the teams continue to prioritise training and support, helping our employees grow and enabling them to drive the company’s continued success.

Leadership Team

Our leadership team is focused on ensuring every facet of the business is strategically positioned for future success. Whether steering transformative initiatives or overcoming challenges, their commitment to sustainable growth and innovation has positioned CJC as a resilient industry leader. Under their guidance, we are preparing to open a new support centre in Tokyo, with additional European office expansion plans shortly. These expansions demonstrate CJC’s commitment to global growth and offering enhanced support to our diverse international client base.
