EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT
ACADEMY TIMELINE
Providing capital market technology training since 2005, CJC formalised an academy in 2012 as a standard part of an employee's lifecycle. A relationship was established with global universities, providing training to regions worldwide.
By 2016, CJC's Academy encompassed all departments (technical and commercial), which has successfully trained and fostered talents in leadership positions at CJC and beyond.
Overhauled in 2022-2023 to enhance inclusivity, the Academy became open to those returning to work, career changers, ex-military and individuals unable to attend university. CJC's Academy is a crucial part of the organisation's wider DEI strategy, receiving industry recognition from the A-Team in 2024.
ACADEMY OVERVIEW
The Academy is supported by a dedicated learning and development (L&D) team. It has proven to develop, train and propel staff onto successful careers at CJC and beyond.
THE L&D TEAM
The L&D team is supported by CJC's Co-Founder and former CTO Paul Tomblin, recognised as among the best trainers in the capital markets. CJC's Academy leverages a pool of resources from active teams in technical operations, engineering, and commercial management.
THE PROGRAM
The Academy program provides a structured syllabus and is delivered in both an office and online setting for maximum availability.
The digital learning platform assesses the participant's knowledge and tracks the progress of each Academy participant, enabling a pace that suits their individual needs.
BEYOND THE ACADEMY
INVESTING IN PEOPLE
Aside from the syllabus, Academy students may attend industry events for networking and exposure to industry-expert-led panels.
Beyond the Academy program, CJC provides fiscal support to staff and works with established organisations like FISD, ITIL, PRINCE2 & CIPD, CCNA, MIP and more to facilitate the provision of industry and globally recognised qualifications.
THE RESULTS
Academy graduates have since progressed into Team Leaders, Managers, Senior Developers, Consultants, Senior Analysts, and Specialist Auditors. These are just some of the existing roles at CJC and beyond at various major financial institutions.
