CJC's Singapore team will be taking part in this year's 'Run For Light'! In support of Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd (GDS), the 9th edition of this event is scheduled to debut at the scenic Pasir Ris Park. The annual event will kick off with the symbolic 1km blindfold walk led by guide dogs & the GDS team, followed by a 5km fun run and 10km competitive run.

About Run For Light

The 9th edition of Run For Light (RFL) – Inspiring Lives Without Sight, is scheduled to debut at the scenic Pasir Ris Park on 30 Mar 2024. For the 9th consecutive year, this is in support of Guide Dogs Singapore Ltd (GDS). The annual run event will kick off with the symbolic 1KM blindfold walk led by guide dogs & the GDS team and participants followed by 5KM fun run and 10KM competitive run. It has always been RFL’s goal to see communities coming together to support the plight of the visually challenged individuals through a series of campaigns leading up to the event.

A commonly held opinion about real-time market data in the cloud is that multicast is either not feasible, performant, or does not work. While opinions differ about the role of multicast in the next generation of data delivery solutions, it is undeniable that several critical current use cases rely on it. Market Data in the Cloud is something all of us within the FISD community have been talking about for a few years now. There is some maturity to this topic, some hard tangible reality to it. Market Data in the Cloud is eminently doable in 2022. However, the question of REAL TIME market data in the Cloud is not so mature a topic and arguable not something that has, as yet been ‘done’ in anger. REAL-TIME is a broad concept, and it encompasses a spectrum of latencies. The discussion here is about what has been done already, what outstanding demands from the business have not been addressed, what technical/engineering obstacles stand in that way – and what magnificent solutions are almost on hand, just over the midterm horizon – or still distant hopes.
